Buildout analysis and cost of service study
As part of the update of the Plan of Conservation and Development the Planning and Zoning Commission contracted with the Green Valley Institute to prepare a build out analysis and cost of service study for the Town. The build out analysis looks at projecting the number of households which could be built based on existing zoning regulations and environmental factors and based upon that develops a population estimate. The cost of service looks at the relationship of how much each type of use (residential vs. commercial/industrial vs. farm/open space) pays in taxes compared to how much they cost in taxes. These two pieces can create a future snap shot of what the Town will become under current regulations and can help the Commission plan for the future. The report is available to download.
