Tanks (Oil / Propane)
Permit Information
As of January 1, 2001, the Building Department no longer requires an application for the removal of oil tanks for residential buildings, however, the Building Department requires an application for the installation of oil or propane tanks.

Requirements
Inside
  • Building / Zoning Permit Application (approval takes approximately one to two business days) 
  • Permit fee, made payable to the Town of Coventry
  • Copy of the Certificate of Insurance showing Worker’s Compensation coverage or Worker's Compensation Waiver Form and a copy of the contractor’s license (if homeowner is doing the work, no insurance / waiver or license are required)

Outside
  • Building / Zoning Permit Application (approval takes approximately one to two business days) 
  • Permit fee, made payable to the Town of Coventry
  • Placement of unit to scale on plot plan / survey 
  • Copy of the Certificate of Insurance showing Worker’s Compensation coverage or Worker's Compensation Waiver Form and a copy of the contractor’s license (if homeowner is doing the work, no insurance / waiver or license are required)
