2014 Revaluation Impact Notice

Dear Coventry Property Owner:

In accordance with Connecticut General Statutes, the Town of Coventry has completed a Revaluation of all real property for the October 1, 2014 Grand List. Shown below is the new assessment of your property as established by the Assessor and Vision Government Solutions.  Your Assessment is based on 70% of Fair Market Value.  Please note that the P.A. 490 Use Value for farm and forest is shown for those in that program. Other exemptions to assessments (for example: Veteran’s exemptions) are not shown as part of this notice, but will be applied to the final assessments.

Do not apply the current tax (mill) rate to your new assessment, as doing so will result in an inaccurate calculation of taxes.  The new mill rate will be determined by the Town in the spring of 2015.

Property owners wishing to have their new assessments reviewed with a representative of Vision Government Solutions may schedule an appointment as follows:

You may go to:, click on Coventry, CT Hearings and follow the instructions.  If you have more than one property to discuss, or do not have access to a computer, appointments may be made by calling Vision Government Solutions at 1-888-844-4300 between the hours of 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Monday-Friday.  Please have a copy of this letter with the PID number listed above and book your appointment by December 10, 2014. Informal hearings will be held at the Town Hall Annex by appointment only beginning on December 1, 2014.  If calling to make an appointment, please note that the Vision Government Solutions office will be closed to observe Thanksgiving on November 27th and 28th and keep in mind that the operators making appointments cannot discuss values or data.  The results of your hearing will be mailed to you in January.  Please do not call the Assessor’s Office to schedule appointments. If the Vision line is busy, please try your call again.

You may review your new assessment on the Vision Government Solutions web site: This site will allow inquiry access to the Assessor’s database, including value summary, property data, and general revaluation information.

If you wish to appeal your assessment after the informal hearing process with Vision Government Solutions is complete, you must file a written appeal to the Board of Assessment Appeals on the prescribed Board of Assessment Appeals appeal form on or before February 20, 2015. The forms will be available beginning on February 1, 2015 from the Assessor’s Office in the Coventry Town Hall or via the internet on the Town of Coventry’s web site
