Registrar of Voters
Voter Requirements
- 18 years of age
- 17 year olds may register if they will be 18 by date of the November election
- Must be a United States citizen
- Reside in town you wish to register in
- Have completed confinement and parole if previously convicted of a disfranchising felony
How to Register
You may register by mail. Applications are available in the Town Hall, libraries, at the Department of Motor Vehicles and online. See a printable form in the Quick Links column on the right. Applications must be filled out completely and may be mailed to the Registrar at the Town Hall. Registration may also be conducted in person at the Registrar’s office or at the Town Clerk’s office in Town Hall. Applications are also enclosed with your motor vehicle and license renewal forms.
You may also use the State of Connecticut’s online Voter Registration System. See the link under Quick Links on the right side of this page.

Polling places for local referendums are at the fire houses:
District 1:
South Coventry Fire House
1755 Main Street
District 2:
North Coventry Fire House
3427 Main Street
ATTENTION STARTING NOVEMBER 2023
CHANGE OF POLLING PLACES FOR ALL NOVEMBER ELECTIONS AND PRIMARIES:
DISTRICT #1, DISTRICT #2 and EDR
will held at the Coventry High School, 78 Ripley Hill Road.
