Transportation Services

Meeting Resident Needs

The goal of the Coventry Rides program is to meet the transportation needs of Coventry’s seniors and persons with disabilities to facilitate our residents living as independently as possible.

The Senior Transportation Program provides free, handicap-accessible van service for travel within the Bolton, Tolland, Vernon, and Manchester areas on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Transportation is available for medical appointments, grocery shopping, employment, voting and errands. Priority will be given to people who need rides for doctor and medical appointments. We try to cluster trips to the same general areas. In many cases, the driver will be able to wait until the rider is ready to return home.

Days & Hours of Operation

Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays - 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Please call to make reservations at least 48 hours in advance and by 12 noon on Thursday for the following week. Calls should be made to the Coventry Senior Center Transportation Coordinator, Sarah Leete at 860-742-3525.
