Dog Licenses

All dogs six (6) months and older must be licensed in the town they reside in per Connecticut General Statute 22-349.  Current town dog licenses must be affixed to your pet whenever they are outside. If your dog is ever lost and recovered without the proper tags, the dog will be considered unlicensed.Note: Each year, dog licenses change shape and color. New dog licenses issued June 1, 2018 will run until May 31, 2019. In order to obtain the current year's dog license, the dog owner must bring a valid rabies certificate for the dog to be license to the Town Clerks officer located at 1712 Main Street in Coventry.
