2020 Coventry Beaches information

The Coventry Parks and Recreation Commission realizes that parks are important because safe recreation is crucial to maintaining good mental health at this time. We are taking appropriate action to help maintain and protect the health of our staff and our residents as this public health emergency continues. The Parks and Recreation Commission deliberated extensively to find solutions that keep the safety of our patrons and staff as our highest priority at all times. Using the DEEP as a resource, the Commission felt that it was important to follow the state’s lead regarding no swimming in inland waterfronts until Phase 2 of reopening.

Coventry Parks and Recreation (CRPR) staff have been closely following Governor Lamont’s COVID-19 plan regarding re-openings as the coronavirus continues to affect our local community. We are continuing to monitor and enforce the gathering sizes, physical distancing measures, and use of masks/face coverings required as determined by the State.
