COVID restrictions eased effective May 19

On Wednesday, May 19, all COVID-related restrictions will be lifted in CT - including the wearing of masks for people who are vaccinated. "Vaccinated" is defined as two weeks subsequent to your last shot. We are hopeful that the general public takes this seriously and wears a mask if not vaccinated while you are visiting indoor public places. If you are vaccinated, please know you may still wear your mask in the Town Hall as you find necessary. Each person is going to have different comfort levels when it comes to not wearing a mask, and we need to be respectful of that. We fully support continued mask wearing even if not required! At Town Hall, there will soon no longer be a sign-in process/form at either the upstairs back entrance or the building department entrance. Over the next few weeks we will continue with a brief check-in process at the back entrance, through 5/28. The building department entrance will have a sign-in sheet for people to use as they enter. The building entrance door will now be unlocked along with the upstairs back door. For now, the front and other side entrance will remain locked through July when tax bills are due. At this time, committee/commission/board meetings are to remain with a hybrid/remote option. People who wish to speak during Audience of Citizens at Town Council meetings may attend in person, or submit letters to be included as correspondence on the next available agenda. Submissions are due at noon on the Wednesday prior to the Council meeting. Please bear with us as this next phase of "normal" unfolds. Adjustments may be necessary and we will communicate accordingly. Thank you, and hopefully together we can work toward releasing all restrictions in a safe and conscientious way.
