  1. Transfer Station Relocates to 100 Olsen Farm Road - Fall/Winter hours in effect 10/6/22

    October 6, 2022, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

    The Coventry Transfer Station is moving from its current site at 325 Main Street to a new site at 100 Olsen Farm Road (near the DPW garage.) Thursday, 10/6 will be the first day at the new site. Fall/Winter hours also go into effect. Thursday hours change to 10 AM - 4 PM from 10/6/22 through 3/30/23.

Design colorful ceramic skulls inspired by Dia De Los Muertos and paint unicorn or dragon banks. Craft monster t-shirts and create sparkling castles on canvas. Make hand puppet mermaids, vampires, fairies, werewolves, or any creature you can imagine. Build UFOs and sculpt clay aliens to fly them, construct haunted house boxes, and make metal robot art. Using some very magical potions and spells (i.e. materials and techniques), art-venturers experience painting, drawing, sculpting, stained glass, ceramics, fabric art, and more. Enchanting two and three dimensional masterpieces come home each week. Fun, fantasy-filled art-ventures! For kids in grades K-5.

    Register your business, organization or family to have a trunk or table! Participants should plan to have approximately 250 - 300 give away items (example pencil, temporary tattoo) or candy. Must be registered by October 19th. Set up on October 22nd will be at noon. The rain date for the event is October 29th. Join Coventry Parks & Recreation for an afternoon of Halloween fun! Trick or treat your way through Coventry Village. Participating businesses will have treats at their locations, and other organizations & groups will be on hand with halloween-themed "trunks" as part of a "trunk or treat." Be sure to dress in costume and bring your treat bags/buckets to collect your treats! The Human Service Department will also be collecting nonperishable food items for the Food Bank. Items such as rice, pasta, tuna, cereal, and soup are especially requested. Parking available at Booth & Dimock Library.
